Thoughts on Time

The past cannot be repeated, except of course in the present.

The future is the only thing up for grabs...but it's always out of reach.

Hi Virginia.
Very elegant, very evocative stuff!
As I read through your work, I was struck with how effectively your words constructed visual images in my mind, and then I realized, conversely, that the pictures chosen had equal power to enhance and heighten the strength of the words. A very rare, harmony my friend!
As I read through again, I had another epiphany (well, maybe not that strong – perhaps a delightful revelation). I am a visual artist who has recently become very involved in theatre, both acting/directing as well as being a playwright. What I realized about your work is that in a very real sense, each piece becomes a bit of theatre. The words you write become script, the image chosen serves as set and stage, and the reader’s participation, which is so integrally invited, casts them as actor!
I suppose now, even after going through your blog twice, you have forced me into going through it yet again, so that I can attempt to figure out your secrets!
If you are interested, I write about the arts and the artistic process, and if you are interested, I invite you to visit my writing:

Thank you so much for posting, Bob
